SlowFood & Nyetimber Dinner

April 13, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

£35

A bespoke 4-course menu, paired with a selection of Nyetimber wines.

Join us for a unique event with a menu created by Chef, Romy Gill with Cabrito’s produce, paired with Nyetimber wines. For the occasion, we will start with a get together with the chef and producers, so they can explain us the menu, the ingredients, the procedures, and the story behind this first event together with Slowfood.

Romy Gill is an Indian chef and cookery teacher, based in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. She combines spices and flavours that she grew up with in India with ingredients that she was only introduced to when she moved to the UK, creating unique and original dishes.

This time, she will create a 4-course, bespoke menu to emphasize the delectable flavours brought by Cabrito, a company based in Axminster, Devon, that supplies kid goats from dairy farms across the South-west, paired with a selection of Nyetimber wines.

Cabrito is owned and run by former chef James Whetlor, who started selling kid goat to adventurous chefs three years ago. Billy goats are a waste product in the dairy industry, and Whetlor persuaded farmers to raise them for him to sell on. They now have a network of farms producing high quality meat from a previously wasted resource.

Join us and enjoy while learning about organic and natural produces, as well as indulging in tasty and succulent flavours with the hand of Slowfood.

Price: £35pp, including the get together lesson experience, dinner and wine tasting
