Whisky and Spice Pop-up Supper with Rachel McCormack

Romy will be teaming up with writer and broadcaster, Rachel McCormack to do a whisky and Indian food pairing event on Thursday 21st April at my restaurant – where you will also be able to take part in the most vibrant and colourful Indian festival, Holi! Romy will cook up a fabulous Indian feast which Rachel will match with different whiskies.
Holi is known in India as the festival of colour, and even as the festival of love. Well, I’m going to share both but also with the love of food and drink! It’ll be a rare occasion where you can have fun playing with lots of colour in a restaurant AND to dine afterwards – so do pop along!
Thandai is a traditional drink served on Holi will be served with pakoras.
Spicy Tandoori Chicken cooked with ginger, garlic and tandoori mix, kashmiri chlli and yogurt served with pineapple salad and avocado and mint chutney.
Shammi Kebab cooked with ginger, spices, stuffed with just a little finely chopped onion, mint and green chilli served with fresh coriander and mint chutney .
Dilli Ki Aloo Chat, it is a very popular savoury street food snack and made in very different ways across India will be served with salad and tamarind chutney.
Venison Biryani subtle flavour of whole spices and venison cooked with onions, yogurt and chilli flakes. Will be served with dal , salad and raita .
Pudding: Whisky Chai masala Caledonia cream served with spicy shortbread
